Product Details

Every frame in our MARK4 lineup uses an H-type layout. The XL10 V7 doesn’t. It’s a Wide X design — four arms of equal length radiating symmetrically from the center, putting the mass exactly where it belongs: on the thrust axis. That’s not a cosmetic choice. It changes how the frame behaves in the air.

True-X geometry means every arm experiences identical forces during yaw, roll, and pitch. There’s no front-bias or side-bias like you get with stretched-X or H-type frames. The result is noticeably smoother hover stability and more predictable control response — exactly what you want when you’re holding position for a camera shot or navigating a precision waypoint at distance.

The 3.0mm top plate is thicker than what we use on our MARK4 V2 10-inch (2.0mm). In a Wide X frame, the top plate participates more in structural rigidity because the arms connect at four separate points around the perimeter rather than running straight through the center. The extra millimeter prevents flex at those junction points under load. The bottom and middle plates are also 3.0mm, creating a stiff sandwich that keeps the flight controller bay stable even with heavy battery packs on top.

At 300g, this frame is heavier than the MARK4 V2 10-inch (235g) — but that weight goes somewhere useful. The 3.0mm top plate adds structural integrity the X-type design demands. The wider arm root contact area distributes motor torque across more carbon fiber surface, reducing stress concentration at the arm-to-plate junction. And the True-X layout itself puts all four motors at equal distance from the center of mass, which means every axis of rotation has identical moment of inertia. For pilots who value predictable, symmetrical handling over raw lightness, this XL10 V7 10 inch FPV carbon fiber frame is the 10-inch platform that flies like it’s thinking with you.

Applications

  • Stable hover filming — True-X symmetry eliminates yaw asymmetry for rock-solid holds. This wide X-type drone frame keeps the camera level when you’re holding position for that perfect shot
  • Precision mapping and survey — Predictable control response at waypoint altitude. Centered mass distribution means less drift correction and tighter flight path accuracy
  • Long-endurance cruising — 10-inch prop efficiency with X-type weight balance. 20+ minute flights with 6S Li-ion packs for distance runs that H-type frames can’t match for stability
  • X-type handling preference — More centered roll authority, more balanced yaw. If you’ve flown True-X before, this 10 inch True-X carbon fiber frame gives you that familiar centered feel at a larger scale

Why Choose YTCarbon

  • Vertical integration, not assembly. We press our own 3K T300 carbon fiber sheet from raw fiber, then CNC cut every arm and plate in the same facility. When you buy this XL10 V7 10 inch carbon fiber frame, you’re buying from the source — no middleman, no inconsistent batches
  • Precision CNC, zero play. Every mounting hole, every edge, every cutout. Internal corners are chamfered to prevent the crack propagation that ruins cheap frames after a season of hard flying. Our ±0.05mm tolerance means every arm fits every frame, every time
  • Zero MOQ. One frame for testing, a hundred for your product line, a thousand for distribution. Same carbon, same process, same quality control on every order
  • ISO 9001 certified quality. Independently audited quality system. Material Test Reports available when your customers or regulators ask for traceable documentation
  • Sample first, order later. Get a frame at cost. Build it, fly it, stress-test it. Then decide on volume with real-world data, not spec sheets

Certifications

Every frame we ship is backed by documented quality credentials. We hold ISO 9001 certification for our quality management system, and our carbon fiber materials carry RoHS and CE compliance — which matters if you’re reselling into the EU or supplying customers who need traceable documentation. How We Manufacture Your Frame

A lot of frame sellers can’t tell you how their product gets made because they don’t make it — they buy it from a supplier who buys it from another supplier. We’re different. The process below shows what actually happens inside our facility: raw 3K T300 carbon fiber comes in, we lay it up and press it into sheet, then our CNC machines cut every plate and arm to spec. After machining, each part gets a visual and dimensional inspection before it goes into the package.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How does the Wide X compare to the MARK4 V2 10-inch H-type?
The H-type (MARK4 V2) runs arms straight through the center in a forward-aft orientation — great for longitudinal stiffness and stacking components vertically. The Wide X (XL10 V7) has four equal-length arms meeting at symmetric points around the center. X-type gives better roll symmetry and more centered mass distribution, which translates to smoother hover and more balanced yaw response. H-type gives you more space for stacked electronics and easier front-rear component routing. Choose based on your build style and flying priorities.
+ Why is the top plate 3.0mm instead of 2.0mm like the MARK4 V2?
In a True-X frame, the top plate carries more structural responsibility because the arms connect at four separate points around the perimeter rather than passing straight through the center like an H-type. The extra 1mm of thickness prevents flex at the arm junction points, especially under the weight of top-mounted 6S and 8S batteries. The weight penalty is roughly 12g — a worthwhile trade for the rigidity gain on this wide X-type drone frame.
+ Why does this frame weigh 300g vs 235g for the MARK4 V2 10-inch?
Three reasons: the top plate is 3.0mm instead of 2.0mm (X-type needs it), the True-X arm geometry requires more carbon at the junction points, and the overall frame footprint is 296×296mm vs the H-type’s narrower profile. Every extra gram serves a structural purpose — nothing is wasted on decorative elements or unnecessary layers.
+ Can I use 8S batteries with this frame?
Yes. The 3.0mm top plate and 7mm arms handle the weight of 8S packs without issue. The battery mounting area accommodates packs up to 55mm wide with the included straps and anti-slip pads. For 8S builds, we recommend 2808 or 2810 class motors with 1040 props for optimal efficiency.
+ Is the 2.0mm camera side plate too thin?
It’s 2.0mm instead of the 2.5mm we use on the MARK4 V2 10-inch, but the loading path is different. In an X-type frame, the camera mount is supported by the surrounding plate geometry rather than bearing loads along a single axis. We’ve impact-tested both designs and the 2.0mm X-type side plate shows equivalent durability to the 2.5mm H-type version.
