What is the difference between roll-wrapped and pultruded tubes?+
In brief, roll-wrapped tubes are made by wrapping carbon fiber prepreg around a mandrel and curing in an autoclave, which delivers higher strength and a better surface finish. Pultruded tubes, on the other hand, are pulled through a resin bath and heated die. Therefore, pultrusion is faster and more cost-effective for high-volume orders. Ultimately, we recommend the right process based on your application.
Can you produce telescoping tubes with multiple sections?+
Yes, absolutely. We manufacture nested tube sets designed specifically for smooth telescoping operation. In particular, we control the clearance between sections to ensure secure locking while maintaining easy adjustment. Furthermore, common configurations include 2-section, 3-section, and 4-section designs, which are widely used for tripod and extension pole applications.
What is the maximum length you can produce?+
Our maximum tube length is 4 meters (4,000mm) in one piece. However, for longer requirements, we can also produce tubes in sections for field assembly. Additionally, we offer splicing services with internal reinforcement for applications that require extended reach.
Do you offer tubes with metal end fittings?+
Yes, we certainly do. We can install metal connectors at tube ends, including threaded inserts, flanges, bearing seats, and custom fittings. Specifically, we work with aluminum, stainless steel, and brass inserts bonded with structural epoxy. Moreover, you can either provide your own fittings or have us source them for you.
Can I get sample tubes before placing a large order?+
Absolutely. We offer sample service for most tube sizes at nominal cost, and samples ship within 3 business days. For custom specifications, however, we can also produce small quantities for prototype evaluation. This way, you can fully validate the product before committing to full production orders.
