MARK4 5 Inch FPV Carbon Fiber Frame

The MARK4 5 inch FPV carbon fiber frame is the go-to size for freestyle and racing pilots. At 225mm wheelbase and 105g, it pairs 5mm 3K T300 carbon arms with a sandwich plate stack (2.5mm bottom + 2.0mm clamp + 2.5mm top) for a stiff, impact-resistant build. CNC-cut in-house at YT CARBON FIBER — from raw sheet to finished frame, no middlemen. No MOQ, ISO 9001 certified, sample available.

Product Details

Most pilots start on 5-inch — and for good reason. The MARK4 5 inch FPV carbon fiber frame hits the sweet spot between agility, durability, and build simplicity. At 225mm wheelbase and 105g, it’s light enough to throw around a gap but stiff enough to take a concrete hit and fly again. If you’re building for freestyle, racing, or just banging around the park, this is the size that does it all without compromises.

The 5mm arms are the right call here. On a 5-inch class frame you don’t need the 6mm overkill that long-range builds demand — that would just add dead weight. 5mm 3K carbon fiber gives you a stiff arm that resists flex under motor torque without making the frame feel sluggish in rolls and flips. Every arm is CNC cut from our own T300 carbon fiber sheet in-house. We control the raw material through to the finished part, which means the fiber volume fraction, laminate density, and weave consistency are the same across every batch. Order now or order a year from now — you get the same frame.

The plate stack is straightforward: 2.5mm bottom plate and 2.5mm top plate share the structural load, while the 2mm middle plate (clamp plate) locks the arms between layers for a sandwich construction that distributes impact forces instead of concentrating them at the screw holes. That’s a detail that matters — on cheap frames the arms are just bolted to a single bottom plate, and the first hard landing shears the screw holes. The sandwich design costs a few grams but saves you from that failure mode. The 2mm bumper plates protect the camera and front electronics from prop strikes and nose-first impacts.

Inside the stack there’s room for 30.5×30.5mm and 20×20mm flight controllers, and the camera mount fits standard 19mm micro FPV cameras. Motor mounting holes accommodate both 16×16mm and 19×19mm patterns, so you’re not locked into one motor brand. We include battery pads and straps, aluminum standoffs, and a full stainless steel hardware kit — everything you need to go from loose parts to a flight-ready 5 inch freestyle frame in one session.

  • Battery straps

Applications

  • FPV freestyle — The 5 inch freestyle frame is the gold standard for park flying, gap hits, and power loops. Light, responsive, and built to crash and keep going
  • Drone racing — 225mm wheelbase keeps the profile tight for gate courses. 5mm arms hold up to gate collisions and hard landings race after race
  • Indoor and backyard practice — Compact enough to fly in tight spaces. Dial in your skills without committing to a long-range build
  • Build platform for beginners — Standard 5-inch class means every part, tutorial, and community setup guide applies. No guessing, no custom parts hunting

Why Choose YTCarbon

  • We make our own CF sheet. From raw fiber to finished plate, it all happens in our factory. No trading company markup, no mystery material, no batch-to-batch surprises
  • CNC cut with tight tolerances. Every hole, every cutout, every edge. Chamfered internal corners so cracks don’t start where they always start on cheap frames
  • No MOQ. Buy one frame for your personal build or a thousand for distribution. Same carbon fiber drone frame, same quality, same attention
  • ISO 9001 certified. Our quality system is audited. Material Test Reports are available when you need them for your own compliance paperwork
  • Sample before you commit. We’ll send you a frame at cost. Inspect it, fly it, beat it up. Then decide if you want to place a real order

Certifications

Every carbon fiber racing frame we ship is produced under our ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Our materials carry RoHS and CE compliance — important if you’re selling into the EU or supplying customers with compliance requirements. Need documentation for your own records? We’ll send the PDF certificates on request.

How We Manufacture Your Frame

We don’t buy pre-cut plates from a supplier. Raw 3K T300 carbon fiber fabric enters our facility, we lay it up and press it into sheet, then our CNC machines cut every arm, plate, and bumper to spec. After machining, each part gets a visual and dimensional check — we’re looking for delamination, burrs, and hole accuracy. The flowchart below shows the full process from fiber to finished frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ What battery should I run on this 5 inch FPV carbon fiber frame?
4S 1500mAh is the most common setup for freestyle and gives you 3–5 minutes of aggressive flying. 6S 1150mAh works too if your motors and ESC can handle it — you’ll get more punch and higher top speed, but shorter flight times. The 225mm wheelbase has plenty of room for either pack size, and battery straps are included to keep things secure.
+ Can I use 4-inch props on the MARK4 5 inch frame?
Physically yes, but there’s no good reason to. 4-inch props on a 225mm frame leave a lot of dead space between the prop disc and the arm tips. You’d be better off with a purpose-built 4-inch frame that’s smaller and lighter. This 5 inch freestyle frame is designed around 5-inch props — that’s where it performs best.
+ Is 5mm arm thickness good enough for freestyle crashes?
Yes. 5mm is the standard for a reason on 5-inch class frames. It’s stiff enough to resist flex under 2306 motor torque, and it survives the kind of crashes that freestyle pilots deal with regularly — tree hits, concrete, and the occasional full-throttle lawn dart. If you’re consistently breaking 5mm arms, the issue is usually your prop choice or flying style, not the arm thickness.
+ What’s the difference between this frame and the MARK4 V2 7 inch?
Different purpose entirely. This 5 inch carbon fiber racing frame is built for agility — quick direction changes, tight gaps, and fast lap times. The 7-inch version has longer arms, thicker 6mm arms, and a bigger stack for long-range and heavy-lift builds. Same H-type design philosophy, same factory, same carbon fiber — but optimized for completely different flying styles.
+ How quickly can I get a sample order shipped?
Standard MARK4 5-inch frames in stock ship within 3 business days. If you need custom arm thickness, different plate layouts, or OEM branding, that typically adds 5–7 business days. We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, or UPS — most destinations arrive in 5–10 business days after dispatch.
