A forged carbon fiber sheet doesn’t have a weave — and that’s the whole point. Instead of woven fabric laid up in neat rows, forged CF is made from chopped carbon fiber tow compressed under high pressure with epoxy resin. As a result, the fibers orient randomly during compression, creating a flowing, marble-like pattern that’s different on every single piece. Indeed, no two sheets look alike. Chopped Tow, Molded Under Pressure

The manufacturing process is fundamentally different from woven sheet production. Specifically, we take chopped 3K carbon tow — typically 30-50mm lengths — and distribute it evenly across the mold cavity. Then, epoxy resin is added, and the whole stack gets pressed at high temperature and pressure. Because of this random fiber orientation, there’s no 0° or 90° direction. In other words, strength is more isotropic than woven laminates — distributed across all axes rather than concentrated along the weave. Therefore, for parts that take load from multiple directions without a preferred axis, this chopped fiber construction can actually outperform a traditional balanced weave layup.

Dark Marble Look That Sells

Moreover, the visual effect is what sells it. Under glossy finish, the random fiber pattern looks like dark marble — organic, flowing, impossible to replicate exactly. Production Process

Every forged carbon fiber sheet is produced in our Shenzhen facility — from raw chopped tow to finished, inspected sheet. Here is our step-by-step process:

1. Tow Chopping — 3K carbon fiber tow cut to 30-50mm lengths for even distribution across the mold
2. Fiber Distribution — Chopped tow weighed and spread evenly across the mold cavity to prevent resin-rich or fiber-clump areas
3. Epoxy Impregnation — Epoxy resin applied and stack assembled with release film for clean demolding
4. Hot Press Curing — Temperature-controlled press cures the panel at 120°C under high pressure for full resin crosslinking
5. Demolding & Trimming — Sheet removed from mold, edges trimmed, and surface inspected for pattern consistency
6. CNC Machining — Optional CNC cutting to custom shapes with ±0.05mm tolerance per your DXF or STEP file
7. Quality Inspection — Dimensional check, surface finish verification, and thickness measurement; protective film applied before packaging
