Not every carbon fiber tube has to be black. Our colored carbon fiber tubes weave colored glass fiber or dyed pre-preg directly into the layup, giving you a tube that performs like standard CF but stands out the moment someone looks at it. Red, blue, green — or a custom Pantone-matched color for your brand. The weave pattern proves it’s real carbon fiber at a glance, and the color tells everyone whose product it is.
How does the color work? It’s not paint, not coating, not a sticker. Colored glass fiber is woven alongside standard 3K carbon fiber in the same fabric layer. The carbon handles the structural loads; the colored fiber introduces the visual effect. The result is a tube that’s just as stiff and just as strong as our black tubes, with zero weight penalty for the color. Dyed pre-preg is another option — the resin itself carries the pigment, so even the carbon layers have a tinted tone. Either way, the color is permanent and part of the material.
We roll-wrap every colored tube on precision mandrels, same process as our standard lineup. OD from 6mm up to 80mm, wall thickness 0.5mm to 5mm, max 3m per section in roll-wrapped. Need longer? How We Manufacture Your Colored Carbon Fiber Tube
Manufacturing a colored CF tube follows the same core process as our standard tubes — with one key difference: the fabric stack includes colored glass fiber layers. We prepreg standard carbon fiber (3K twill or plain) alongside colored glass fiber sheets, then roll-wrap the full stack onto a precision mandrel. The colored layers are placed at calculated positions in the wall — typically the outer surface for maximum visibility, sometimes an inner layer too for a dual-tone effect. After vacuum bagging and oven curing at 130°C, the mandrel is extracted and the tube is precision-cut to length. Every colored tube goes through the same OD inspection and straightness check as our black tubes. No shortcuts just because it looks good.
