Product Details

Carbon fiber interior trim panels do more than dress up a cabin — they replace factory plastic and wood inserts with something lighter, harder, and far more resistant to daily wear. Dashboard strips, door handle surrounds, center console covers, gear shift bezels: each piece follows the exact contour of the original part, so installation is a direct swap with no gaps or uneven edges. Pre-preg compression molding gives every panel a consistent weave alignment and a surface that holds up against scratches, UV yellowing, and cabin heat cycles that would warp ordinary composites.

What makes interior trim harder to produce than flat sheet parts is the multi-curve geometry. A dashboard accent strip can have three different radii along its length, and a single misalignment in the mold shows up as a visible wave in the fabric. We handle this by building aluminum tooling with CNC-machined cavity surfaces, then laying pre-preg plies directionally — not just stacking them flat — so the weave tracks every curve without distortion. The result is a trim piece that looks like it grew out of the car, not something stuck on after the fact.

For aftermarket distributors and tuning shops, interior trim is one of the fastest-moving product lines because car owners see it every time they sit behind the wheel. We support both gloss and matte clear-coat finishes, and we can match your existing product catalog with custom weave patterns — 3K twill, plain, or forged carbon looks. Send us STEP, STP, or IGS files of the OEM part, and we’ll take it from mold design through production.

Applications

  • Luxury Car Aftermarket — Replace OEM plastic and wood grain inserts on BMW, Mercedes, Porsche cabins with real CF trim that weighs less and resists daily scuffs far better than factory finishes.
  • Interior Tuning Kits — Bundle dashboard strips + door handle covers + console panels as a complete set; car owners buy the full package, and you move more SKUs per order.
  • Center Console & Dashboard Covers — High-touch surfaces that see constant contact from keys, watches, and rings — our UV-stable clear coat keeps the weave looking fresh for years without yellowing.
  • Gear Shift & Steering Wheel Bezels — Small curved parts that prove molding precision; a clean weave on a tight radius signals quality to every buyer who sits in the driver’s seat.
  • RV & Yacht Cabin Accents — Interior trim isn’t limited to cars; luxury RVs and yachts use the same multi-curve CF panels for cabinetry inlays and helm surrounds, and the salt-air UV resistance matters even more on the water.

Why Choose YTCarbon

  • Factory-Direct With Proven Credibility — We exhibited at the 2025 World UAV Expo — see what a real carbon fiber factory puts on the table. No middleman markups, no trading-company guesswork; you deal with the people who run the autoclave.
  • Multi-Curve Molding Without Weave Distortion — Interior trim demands directional ply layup on CNC-machined aluminum tooling; our process keeps the carbon fiber weave tracking every radius cleanly, so the pattern looks right even on tight compound curves.
  • Gloss & Matte Finish Options — Two clear-coat lines mean you can serve both the show-car crowd (mirror-gloss wet look) and the motorsport segment (matte anti-glare) from the same mold, doubling your SKU coverage without doubling tooling cost.
  • Automotive-Grade UV & Scratch Resistance — Cabin interiors face sun through windshields and constant contact from rings and keys; our UV-stable topcoat resists yellowing and micro-scratching far longer than generic clear coats used on decorative parts.
  • Full-Cycle From 3D File to Finished Part — Send us your STEP, STP, or IGS design file and we handle mold design, pre-preg layup, compression molding, trimming, drilling, and surface finishing in one factory — no need to coordinate separate mold makers and coating shops.

Certifications

Every carbon fiber interior trim panel ships with full traceability. Our facility holds ISO 9001 certification for quality management, and our test reports cover tensile strength, flexural modulus, and UV aging — the data points your buyers ask for before committing to a new supplier. For projects that require specific automotive standards, we can arrange third-party testing through SGS or TÜV.

How We Manufacture Your Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Panel

It starts with your 3D drawing. Our engineers review the file, confirm wall thickness and draft angles, then design the aluminum mold with CNC-machined cavity surfaces matched to the part geometry. We cut pre-preg carbon fiber plies to shape, lay them directionally into the mold to prevent weave distortion on curves, and compression-mold under heat and pressure. After demolding, each trim panel goes through CNC edge trimming, precision drilling where needed, and a multi-pass clear coat application — either gloss or matte — followed by UV curing. The result is a cabin-ready part with a flawless surface and tight dimensional tolerance.

FAQ

+ Can you match the exact shape of OEM interior trim pieces?
Yes. Send us the OEM part’s STEP, STP, or IGS file and we’ll machine the mold directly from that geometry. If you only have a physical sample, we can reverse-engineer it with 3D scanning and then proceed with mold design. The finished trim panel will follow every curve and edge of the original part within ±0.3 mm tolerance.
+ What is the difference between gloss and matte finish for carbon fiber interior trim?
Gloss clear coat gives a deep, mirror-like wet look that makes the weave pattern pop — popular with show-car and luxury builds. Matte clear coat provides a satin, anti-glare surface preferred in motorsport cabins where reflections can be distracting. Both use the same UV-stable automotive-grade topcoat; the difference is in the final buffing step. You can order the same mold output in both finishes.
+ How does pre-preg compression molding prevent weave distortion on curved interior parts?
Unlike hand layup where the fabric is draped loosely, pre-preg plies are cut to shape and placed directionally into the mold cavity. Compression molding then applies uniform pressure across the entire surface simultaneously, forcing the weave to conform to every radius without stretching or bunching. This is why our interior trim panels show a clean, consistent twill pattern even on tight compound curves — no visible waves or misalignment.
+ Will carbon fiber interior trim yellow or fade inside a car exposed to sunlight?
Not under normal conditions. We apply an automotive-grade UV-stable clear coat rated for years of windshield-level sun exposure. Standard epoxy without UV protection will yellow in 6–12 months; our topcoat has been lab-tested for accelerated UV aging with no visible discoloration after the equivalent of 3+ years of daily cabin exposure. For markets with extreme sun, we offer an upgraded UV-blocking formulation on request.
+ What file formats do you accept for custom interior trim panel orders?
We accept STEP, STP, and IGS formats — flexible customization from 3D design drawings. These formats preserve the full surface geometry our engineers need to design the mold cavity. If you only have 2D drawings, we can convert them into a 3D model for an additional engineering fee, but starting from a solid 3D file is faster and more accurate.
