The 2mm carbon fiber sheet is where structural performance starts getting serious. At this thickness you’re past the cosmetic covers and thin shims — this is a load-bearing panel for drone frames, machine guards, and equipment enclosures. It’s the thinnest spec most aerospace and defense projects accept for a structural part, and it’s the one thickness every carbon fiber buyer asks for first.

We build this 2mm panel with 5 layers of carbon fiber in a balanced twill or plain layup, pressed at 120°C under controlled pressure. Toray T300 is our standard — proven stiffness at the best value. Need higher modulus? Step up to T700, T800, or T1000. The result is a 60% fiber volume laminate with consistent properties edge to edge. We track resin content and fiber orientation on every batch, so when you reorder the same 2mm sheet six months later, it machines and performs identically.

Standard sizes are 500×500mm, 600×600mm, and 1000×1000mm — all in stock. Custom dimensions? No problem. Maximum goes up to 3000mm × 8000mm in a single piece, one of the largest capabilities from any Chinese manufacturer. Need something between 1mm and 3mm? We produce thin carbon fiber sheet across that full range — 0.2mm, 0.5mm, 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm — all from the same line, same quality standard.

Surface options: matte, glossy, or one-side-each. For structural parts that get drilled, countersunk, or bonded — go matte. Better adhesion, hides handling marks. For visible components like dashboard panels or display housings, glossy brings out the weave. If your part carries load — drone center plates, robot arm links, equipment brackets — 2mm is the sweet spot between rigidity and weight. For decorative covers or cosmetic panels, 0.5mm or 1mm saves weight and cost. For heavy load-bearing, step up to 3mm, 4mm, or 5mm. We produce thin carbon fiber sheet from 0.2mm all the way to 50mm — tell us your application and we’ll recommend the right spec.
+ What does “aerospace grade” mean for a 2mm carbon fiber panel?
It means the material properties — fiber volume fraction, tensile strength, flexural modulus — meet the thresholds aerospace projects require for structural parts. + How does a 2mm carbon fiber sheet compare to aluminum?
A 2mm carbon fiber sheet at 60% fiber volume has roughly the same bending stiffness as a 4mm 6061-T6 aluminum plate — at about one-third the weight. In tensile strength, CF wins by a wide margin. The trade-off: carbon fiber is brittle and doesn’t yield before failing, so you design for the right failure mode. For most structural replacements, 2mm carbon fiber plate replaces 4-5mm aluminum comfortably.
+ What surface finish should I choose?
Matte for structural parts — better adhesive bonding, hides handling marks. Glossy for visible components where the weave pattern needs to stand out. We can also do matte on one side and glossy on the other. Most drone and robotics customers go matte; automotive and consumer electronics prefer glossy.
