Product Details

A carbon fiber spoiler isn’t just a cosmetic add-on — it’s a functional aerodynamic component that generates real downforce at speed. Whether it’s a subtle lip spoiler for daily-driven sedans or a full adjustable GT wing for track cars, the shape has to be right. A few millimeters off on the airfoil profile and you lose the aero benefit entirely. That’s why we mold every spoiler from a precision-machined die, not hand-layup over a foam plug. Consistent shape, consistent performance, every single piece.

Our spoilers are formed by pre-preg compression molding — the same process used for mirror covers, but with larger and more complex mold geometry. A typical GT wing mold has two long curved halves (upper and lower skins) plus endplate molds. We CNC machine the molds from aluminum for prototyping or P20/718 steel for production runs. The pre-preg layup is tailored to the load case: more uni-directional layers on the high-stress bottom skin where the mounting bolts pull, more twill on the visible top surface for that classic carbon look. After curing at 130°C under pressure, we demold, trim, drill mounting holes, and inspect every wing for surface defects and dimensional accuracy.

Every project starts with your 3D design in STEP, STP, or IGS format. We evaluate the profile, wall thickness, and mounting layout — then quote tooling + piece price with no hidden fees. If you only have a concept sketch, our engineers can help develop the 3D model. If you have a physical sample, we reverse-engineer it. From lip spoiler to GT wing, from 10-piece prototype to 10,000-piece production — one factory, one QC system, one shipment. Factory direct from Shenzhen, ISO 9001 certified.

Applications

  • Aftermarket Spoiler Kits — Lip spoilers, ducktails, and GT wings for popular models. Direct bolt-on with OEM mounting points or universal fit with supplied brackets.
  • Track & Race Cars — Adjustable GT wings generating real downforce. Multi-position mounting for different track configurations. Light enough to not upset rear weight distribution.
  • Tuning Brand Custom Lines — Aftermarket brands ordering exclusive spoiler designs with custom profiles, endplate logos, and proprietary weave patterns. We sign NDAs.
  • Supercar & Hypercar OEM — Low-volume, high-spec active spoiler components for boutique manufacturers. T700 grade, autoclave-cured options available.
  • Motorcycle Rear Spoilers — Smaller-scale aero parts for sportbikes. Same compression molding process, smaller mold, faster turnaround.

Why Choose YTCarbon

  • Proven at 2025 World UAV Expo — We exhibited at the 2025 World UAV Expo — see what a real carbon fiber factory puts on the table. Our compression-molded parts drew automotive and industrial buyers who needed complex shapes, not just flat sheets. Spoilers are where that capability really shines.
  • Functional Aero, Not Just Looks — We mold spoilers from precision-machined dies, not hand-laid over foam. That means every piece comes out with the exact airfoil profile your designer specified. Same shape, same downforce, every unit — no variation between piece one and piece one thousand.
  • Hybrid Layup for Strength + Aesthetics — The top surface shows 3K twill or forged carbon. The structural layers underneath are UD pre-preg oriented to handle the mounting loads. You get the look on the outside and the strength where it matters. We design the layup schedule for your specific load case.
  • Multi-Part Mold Capability — A GT wing isn’t one piece — it’s an upper skin, lower skin, two endplates, and sometimes internal ribs. We design and machine all the molds as a matched set, so every component fits together perfectly. Most suppliers only do simple single-cavity parts.
  • From Sketch to Production — Got an aero concept but no 3D model? Our engineers can develop the CAD from your sketches or reference photos. We’ll optimize the profile for moldability while preserving the aerodynamic intent. Full design-through-production service under one roof.

Certifications

Every custom molded carbon fiber spoiler from YTCarbon is produced under ISO 9001:2015 quality management. RoHS and CE compliant. Mold inspection reports, first article dimensional checks, and flexural testing on sample pieces are standard. Our Shenzhen factory maintains full traceability from raw fiber lot to finished spoiler.

How We Manufacture Your Carbon Fiber Spoiler

Spoiler manufacturing starts with your 3D design in STEP, STP, or IGS format. Our engineers analyze the profile and split it into mold sections — typically upper skin, lower skin, and endplates for a GT wing, or a single upper/lower mold pair for a lip spoiler. Draft angles and parting lines are designed to allow clean demolding without damaging the airfoil surface. The molds are CNC machined from aluminum (prototyping) or P20/718 steel (production), then polished to the target finish. Pre-preg layup is where spoilers differ from simpler parts: we place 3K twill pre-preg on the visible surfaces and UD pre-preg in the structural zones — typically the bottom skin near the mounting points and along the span. The layup goes into the mold, the press closes, and the part cures at 130°C under 5–10 MPa. After demolding, we trim flash, drill mounting holes, sand edges, and assemble the wing (bonding upper and lower skins, attaching endplates). Every finished spoiler is checked against the 3D model for profile accuracy and surface quality before shipping.

FAQ

+ Can a compression molded carbon fiber spoiler actually generate downforce?
Absolutely. The key is mold precision. A compression-molded spoiler replicates the exact airfoil profile from the 3D model — every radius, every angle, every surface curve. Hand-laid parts over foam plugs can’t match that consistency. We’ve molded spoilers for track-day cars that showed measurable downforce improvement on the skidpad. The carbon layup is stiff enough to hold its shape at speed without flexing, which is where cheap fiberglass replicas fall apart (literally).
+ How do you handle a GT wing with multiple components?
A GT wing typically needs 3–4 molds: upper skin, lower skin, and two endplates. Sometimes internal ribs or mounting brackets are molded separately too. We design all molds as a matched set — same coordinate system, same datum points — so every component aligns perfectly during assembly. After molding, upper and lower skins are bonded with structural epoxy, endplates are bolted or bonded, and the whole assembly is checked for symmetry and dimensional accuracy.
+ Can you produce an adjustable carbon fiber spoiler with different attack angles?
Yes. The wing itself is molded as a fixed-profile airfoil. Adjustability comes from the mounting brackets — we mold or machine aluminum brackets with multiple bolt-hole positions so the driver can set the angle at 0°, 5°, 10°, or whatever range your design calls for. Some customers want a quick-release mechanism for track-day swaps; we can incorporate that into the bracket design. Send us your adjustment range and we’ll engineer the mounting system.
+ What’s the typical mold cost for a carbon fiber spoiler?
It varies a lot by complexity. A simple lip spoiler in aluminum: $1,000–$2,500. A full GT wing with endplates in aluminum: $3,000–$6,000. Steel molds run 50–80% more. The mold cost is a one-time investment — once the tool is made, it’s yours and we store it for future production runs. For high-volume orders (2,000+ pieces), we can amortize the mold cost into the piece price so there’s no upfront tooling fee.
+ Do you offer autoclave curing for higher-spec spoiler projects?
Yes, for projects that need it. Standard production uses compression molding (heated platen press) which delivers excellent results for most aftermarket spoilers. For OEM or motorsport-grade parts where minimum void content and maximum fiber volume fraction are critical, we offer autoclave curing at 0.6–0.7 MPa with vacuum bagging. Autoclave parts have slightly higher strength and lower weight — typically 5–8% better than compression molded. The trade-off is longer cycle time and higher cost. We’ll recommend the right process based on your application.
