A UD carbon fiber sheet puts every fiber in the same direction \u2014 and that changes everything. Where woven fabrics split strength between 0\u00b0 and 90\u00b0, unidirectional CF concentrates it along one axis. The result is a laminate with significantly higher tensile modulus and strength in the fiber direction than any woven construction at the same weight. For engineers who calculate stress and design for specific load paths, UD is the starting point \u2014 not the alternative.<\/p>\n

The real advantage shows up when you stack UD plies at different angles. A [0\/90\/0\/90] layup gives you balanced bi-directional strength with higher 0\u00b0 performance than a woven sheet. A [0\/45\/90\/-45] quasi-isotropic stack gives you predictable multi-axis behavior. A [0\u2088] all-0\u00b0 layup gives you the strongest possible spar cap or beam flange. Available in T300 through T1000 fiber grades, thickness from 0.2mm to 50mm+, and sheet sizes up to 3m\u00d78m. Custom ply orientations, mixed-grade stacks (e.g., T700 at 0\u00b0 + T300 at \u00b145\u00b0), and CNC machining with \u00b10.05mm tolerance.<\/p>\n
